We have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our well-established team at our headquarters.
Main Responsibilities
* Performing advanced automotive care, including gearboxes, timing chain, engine repairs, mechanical repairs as well as advanced electrical fault finding/repairs
* Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil, servicing and rotating tires
* Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a car
* Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in a car
* Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly – including carrying out road testing after completing work on a vehicle
* Repairing or modifying a car to a client’s specifications
* Completing job cards detailing in depth what work was carried out and labour times
* Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised
* Maintaining all garage equipment and tools in excellent condition
* Completing other ad hoc tasks for BMWillenhall
Key Experience/Requirements
* Minimum 2 years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
* City & Guilds Qualification – Level 3
* Full UK/EU Driving Licence
* Ability to work independently and a drive to deliver results
* Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
* Keep a professional personal appearance
