As a UTC, we admit students at the start of Key Stage 4 (Year 10), which means we are exempt from Progress 8 and EBacc measures, allowing us to focus on delivering a curriculum that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to thrive in the real world.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take a pivotal role in launching and leading the Musical Theatre course for Key Stage 4. You will:
* Deliver high-quality lessons in singing, dance, and performance, inspiring students to develop their technical skills and confidence.
* Direct and choreograph high-impact musical theatre productions as part of the G:Ventures Programme, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the Performing Arts Faculty to design and implement a dynamic and engaging Musical Theatre curriculum.
* Mentor and guide students of varying abilities, nurturing their creativity and preparing them for progression into further education or industry pathways.
* Provide constructive feedback to help students refine their performance abilities and achieve excellence.
* Support the development of extracurricular performing arts activities, enhancing the cultural life of the academy.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and talented individual who:
* Is an outstanding teacher with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Musical Theatre or Performing Arts education.
* Has a proven track record of inspiring students and delivering impactful performances.
* Can teach singing and dance at a high level and support students in developing their performance skills.
* Has experience directing and choreographing musical theatre productions.
* Shares our commitment to delivering academic and vocational excellence across the academy.
