Role Summary:
As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organizations, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances and market trends for Flowserve Limitorque Products. You will also develop a keen understanding of Flowserve operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate selling efforts with other internal and 3rd party selling channel partners.
Your Tasks:
1. Achieve annual sales budget utilizing all available technical and personnel resources to achieve goals.
2. Regularly contact and visit major end users, OEMS and engineering contractors in assigned territory providing technical support and ensuring Flowserve Limitorque remains as a preferred supplier of actuator products.
3. Provide technical support and specification guidance and influence and obtaining updates on the status of active projects with complete customer base to a goal of ensuring Flowserve automation products are approved and accepted on all opportunities.
4. Formulating and executing formal account plans for sales channel partners, including distributor, repair companies, and municipal water representatives as well as end users, OEMS and engineering contractors. Provide regular updates versus goals against account plans.
5. Continually evaluate sales channel partners as required to determine if they are the best fit for our organization’s needs. Make joint sales calls with their outside sales people and meet regularly with their management to ensure success of our mutual goals.
6. Proactively communicate and maintain current information in the project tracking CRM system (Flowforce) regarding major projects, project timing and forecasts and respond timely to request for actions associated with projects.
7. Provide input and guidance for project pricing and deliveries, coordinating with all Flowserve stakeholders, including other territory sales engineers and sales managers whom may have interest or can provide additional support prior to, during and after sale.
8. Communicate project, territory, sales channel, or any other information as requested by Regional Manager, Global Sales Director, General Manager, Product Management and/or Commercial Operations Manager.

Your Profile:
1. Sales Engineers are expected to be the face of Flowserve Limitorque to the customer.
2. Expert in all Microsoft Office Products.
3. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
4. Excellent presentation and listening skills.
5. College degree, with preference for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, military experience and training with related equipment, Business related degree with a technical inclination, or equivalent outside sales experience.
6. Minimum 5 years industrial product sales experience in the Actuator industry. Preference is experience with 3 phase electric actuation and fluid power products.
7. Experience making independent sales calls and giving engineered products presentations to engineering firms, OEM customers, distribution and end users.
8. Experience managing third party sales channel partners, such as distributors, repair houses, and/or manufacturer’s representatives.
9. Experience managing local and international project opportunities.
