Role Description
The Playground Inspection & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the inspection and maintenance duties of a rapidly growing portfolio of clients for PFL Group. As the service grows, there is an opportunity to grow with the organisation. This role will cover the South East and West Midlands, so you will need to be comfortable driving and be able to adapt to a changing schedule.
This role will include carrying out inspections, maintenance, and repairs to outdoor play equipment, ramps, MUGA’s, fitness equipment, safety surfacing, and associated landscaping.
Qualifications and Experience
* A valid clean driver’s license is essential as a Company Van will be issued.
* A CSCS card is required.
* A satisfactory DBS is required.
* Knowledge of playground equipment (preferred but not essential).
* Experience of MUGA’s and ramps (preferred but not essential).
* Experience of installation of safety surfacing (grass mats, bonded rubber mulch, loosefill, and wetpour; preferred but not essential).
* RPII Operational Inspector qualification would be helpful.
* Competency in operating powered hand tools is preferred.
* Preparing survey reports and quality checks for review and submitting back to the office.
* Ability to effectively communicate with all customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
* Ability to work in a team setting or individually.
* Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude is essential.
