The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need for success in an increasingly digital world.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
2. Teach a range of topics, including programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and data representation
3. Support and challenge students to achieve their best, adapting teaching strategies as needed
4. Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and intervention where necessary
5. Contribute to the development of the Computer Science department and its curriculum
6. Engage in extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or STEM initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting
2. Experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5
3. Strong subject knowledge, including programming languages such as Python or Java
4. An up-to-date DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
5. Excellent communication and classroom management skills
6. A passion for computing and the ability to inspire students
