Description The Role The primary focus of the Risk Consultant is to deliver risk management advisory services, primarily in the area of business continuity management and associated areas, to WTW’s clients in the UK. The role will be homebased with travel to WTW offices and clients throughout the United Kingdom (and occasionally overseas) where required. Although this requirement is principally for an experienced business continuity consultant, there will be opportunities to learn other risk management disciplines. Furthermore, you will provide direct support in new business propositions, supporting on account defences, and delivery of business continuity and risk management projects in line with client expectations. The role is part of the the Risk Consulting Practice, which delivers a range of services including (but not limited to): Business continuity management– BIA, strategy development, plan production, testing and exercising. Crisis management – plan development and exercising. Enterprise risk management. Risk registers. Business interruption exposure analytics. Supply chain risk management. Ad-hoc support in helping clients understand and improve the way they manage risk. Principal Duties/Responsibilities Engaging with clients to help them develop and refine their business continuity capabilities. Delivery of the complete business continuity programme lifecycle to fee-paying clients, including BIA, strategy development, plan production, exercising, testing and awareness. Scoping, proposal production and commercial associated with fee-earning consulting in a large multinational professional services firm. Providing objective advice and direction on a wide range of risk issues. Supporting the client’s risk journey and assisting in their strategic goals and objectives. Proposition Management Provide objective advice and direction to clients and account teams on a wide range of operational and risk issues Support account teams in account defences, new business propositions, and the servicing existing clients’ risk management needs Work with account teams to help identify and define client needs with a view to developing long-term client relationships Leverage industry insight, contribute to the development of the proposition for the WTW GB Retail business and other lines of business where appropriate. Build service offerings in conjunction with account teams and marketing across WTW Share best practice with the wider risk management team, account teams and business unit leaders as appropriate Identify and manage key external and internal stakeholders (including business developers, service teams, etc.) in the promotion and delivery of the services. Growth and Business Development Attend prospect and new client meetings as appropriate. Work with regional and business unit leaders, industry practices and other relevant P&L holders to support sales strategies for each area as appropriate. Operational Delivery Support the Risk Consulting Practice Leader to develop practice capability within WTW’s regional offices and industry practices as required – share knowledge and develop training / communication plans. Participating in a full range of marketing activities to promote services both internally and externally.
