Role summary
The Producer (Adults & Communities) is a part-time fixed-term one-year role responsible for the planning, delivery, development, and evaluation of Modern Art Oxford’s workshop offer for adult learners and community groups.
The position forms part of the Communities, Practice & Participation team and is managed by the Head of Communities, Practice & Participation.
Working as part of the team, you will be devising and delivering a series of informal and formal workshops for a diverse range of community partners. Working closely with the Head of Communities, Practice & Participation, you will devise and deliver income generating evening classes and short courses for Modern Art Oxford’s public programme for adult learners of all interests and abilities.
Job location (usual place of work): Modern Art Oxford, 30 Pembroke Street, OX1 1BP.

Job description
Producer (Adults & Communities) – Part-time, Fixed-term (1 year)
Modern Art Oxford is looking for a creative and experienced arts professional to develop and deliver engaging workshops and courses for adult learners and community groups. As part of the Communities, Practice & Participation team, you will play a key role in shaping an inclusive programme that fosters creative learning and artistic exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver workshops for adult learners and community partners, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
2. Develop and coordinate income-generating evening classes and short courses for a diverse public audience.
3. Work collaboratively with charities, community groups, and arts organisations to expand engagement.
4. Manage project administration, including bookings, materials, budgets, and evaluation.
5. Support community outreach by introducing local groups to Modern Art Oxford’s creative opportunities.
About You:
We’re looking for an arts professional (artist, educator, or facilitator) with at least two years’ experience in planning and delivering creative workshops. You’ll have excellent communication skills, a passion for socially engaged practice, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic arts environment. Strong organisational skills, safeguarding awareness, and experience working with diverse communities are essential.
