Customs Coordinator
£26,000 – £28,000 per annum
Wythenshawe, Lancashire
8.30 am – 5.30 pm Monday to Friday (includes 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Office Based Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Customs Duty Compliance: Fulfil all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities while minimizing costs.
* Stakeholder Communication: Engage with customers, suppliers, agents, and customs authorities to resolve any issues or questions.
* Data Management: Perform high-volume data entry on spreadsheets.
* Customs Entry Amendments: Submit customs entry amendment requests to HMRC.
* Ad Hoc Tasks: Complete additional tasks as instructed by the Line Manager.
Skills, Experience, and Competencies
* Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Exports/Imports and Customs Compliance.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs requirements, particularly for UK & EU imports. Experience in road transport, logistics, or haulage is a plus. Familiarity with the CDS system, transit procedures, and ETSF is desirable.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize workload with attention to detail. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility: Willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends based on volume.
