Integrated Resource Unit Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

Working Hours: Monday- Friday (term time only) 8:30-3:30
Unique School Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a Primary School in the S4 area to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in their Integrated Resource Unit (IRU). The IRU supports children aged between 5 and 11 years with ASD and SLCN.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have experience working with children with SEND
2. Have a good and up-to-date working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
3. Ideally, have a level 2 or above in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or have relevant work experience
4. Be truly passionate about SEND and ensuring the children you work with reach their full potential.
About the school and IRU:
A large Primary School in the S4 area. The IRU caters for children who struggle to access mainstream learning and has a bespoke sensory room, an outdoor learning area, and a group learning room. It is a "Good" school with high expectations of students' learning and behaviour - Ofsted 2024.
