Accounts Assistant | Maidstone (Office Based) | Up to £28K
Our client based on the outskirts of Maidstone. Is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join a part of their busy but small finance team. This role will predominantly focus on managing the purchase ledger and ensuring smooth running of the department.
Key responsibilities:
1. Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded
2. Assist with preparation and process payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
3. Reconcile supplier statements and manage any queries or issues that arise.
4. Maintain and update the purchase ledger, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
5. Manage sales invoices
6. Send customer statements
7. Chase overdue invoices
8. Take card payments
9. Debtors list
10. Cashflow forecasting
11. Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed, including audits and financial reporting.
12. Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any payment or invoicing issues.
Candidate Profile:
13. Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
14. Strong organisational and time management abilities.
15. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
16. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
18. Use of Sage 50 is essential
