The company undertakes the design, installation, service, and maintenance of heating, plumbing, ventilation, electrical, and air conditioning systems, primarily within the commercial sector. The company holds ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 accreditations and has built long-standing collaborative relationships with clients, delivering quality projects that result in repeat business and framework appointments across the North West.Role Overview We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to lead and deliver mechanical building services projects up to £4.5 million in value. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contracts, managing resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee project delivery, including procurement of materials, labour resources, subcontractors, and overall performance. Maintain strong commercial acumen to manage cash flow and ensure project profitability. Uphold the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality work, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. Provide technical and installation advice to engineers and apprentices. Manage and uphold the company’s health and safety responsibilities and ethos. Maintain relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or a similar role within the mechanical building services industry. Strong technical understanding of heating, plumbing, ventilation, and gas distribution. Experience managing multiple projects, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong client-facing and negotiation skills. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards, including Gas Safe and health & safety legislation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and contract management software. Full UK driving license. Valid Black CSCS card. Desirable Qualifications: HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Certification.
