Job Description Position Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Insights Analyst to join our UK Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for data and a drive to foster data literacy within cross-functional teams. This role will be pivotal in supporting descriptive analytics, exploring new data sources, interpreting data for insights, and providing insights into health pathways and customer and patient journeys. The role will work closely with the Strategic Insights team to uncover gaps and understand business questions which can be addressed through analytics, data science, research, or dashboarding aligning/contributing to the DDA roadmap. Key Responsibilities: Descriptive Analytics: Assist in analysing and reporting on current and historical data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Help develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested by business units to support decision-making. Forecasting: Support the use of historical data and trends to assist in accurate forecasting and business planning. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives. Exploring New Data Sources: Identify and integrate new data sources to enhance analysis capabilities. Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data quality and integrity. Interpreting Data for Insights: Work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Present findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Market Research: Assist in qualitative and quantitative market research and tracking. Support the management of market research agency procurement and contract management. Health Pathway and Customer & Patient Journey Insights: Analyse data related to health pathways and customer/patient journeys to identify key insights. Provide recommendations to improve patient outcomes and customer satisfaction. Regular Standard Reports: Help create, maintain, and circulate regular standard reports to track business performance. Ensure reports are comprehensive, accurate, and delivered on time to relevant stakeholders. Experiment-Learn-Adapt Processes: Assist in designing and implementing experiments to test business hypotheses and strategies. Analyse experimental data to determine the effectiveness of new initiatives. Brand Performance: Analyse brand performance metrics to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Provide insights to enhance brand positioning and market share. Sales Force Effectiveness: Evaluate the performance of the sales force through data analysis. Identify key metrics and areas for improvement to enhance sales productivity. Omnichannel Effectiveness: Analyse the effectiveness of omnichannel strategies, including digital and traditional channels. Provide insights to optimise customer engagement across multiple touchpoints. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Some experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role. Some proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with statistical tools (e.g., R, Python) is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences. Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
