Our fantastic client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work at a new, fantastic, and growing independent veterinary practice located in South West London just a stones throw away from Twickenham.
Duties:
• Providing compassionate nursing care to small animal patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with examinations and procedures, and educating pet owners on animal health and care.
• You'll be ready to use your expertise, communicate confidently across the team and take ownership of your clinical and customer facing areas.
• You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of the nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care and excellent client service.
• This includes developing and implementing nursing protocols and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care, as well as providing hands-on nursing care for critical or complex cases as needed.
• You will also train and mentor the junior nurses to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Additionally, you will manage nursing staff schedules, time off requests, and performance reviews, serving as a liaison between the nursing team and vets to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
The close-knit, supportive team consists of 2 experienced veterinary surgeons, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, and 2 Veterinary Care Assistants. The director's goal is to foster a family-like atmosphere where everyone works collaboratively to provide exceptional care.
