Looking for a challenge in 2025? The People & Culture team at Bath College are seeking a Recruitment Assistant to ensure we recruit great candidates. Working closely with the Recruitment Lead, you will be responsible for providing a professional and customer-focused recruitment function for the College. You’ll ensure that our recruitment processes from advert to appointment are timely and high quality, assisting both managers and candidates. Safe recruitment processes are vital in education, and you’ll make certain that all the necessary pre-employment checks are completed. Your approach and attitude will have a positive impact on our candidates.

Key Responsibilities
* Using the recruitment system, advertise roles in relevant locations and publications, ensuring good quality adverts are prepared.
* Ensuring a positive experience for candidates through clear communication and straightforward processes.
* Providing timely advice to managers and candidates on the process.
* Responding professionally to telephone and email inquiries.
* Ensuring coordination of interviews including room bookings, interview tasks, and greeting and accompanying candidates.
* Collating, copying, and securely storing information about candidates, recognizing when these need to be disposed of.
* Preparing reports on recruitment using relevant systems.
* Maintaining accurate records on our employee systems, ensuring effective recording and reporting.
* Providing basic training to managers and agencies on using the recruitment system.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience of working in an administrative role.
* A proactive and positive approach to customer service.
* A methodical and organized approach to work with strong attention to detail.
* Confident using Microsoft Office including preparing professional standard documents, using Excel for recording data, and managing inboxes.
* Ability to plan, prioritize and complete work in a busy environment, producing accurate work.
