As an SEN Teaching Assistant in the Lowestoft area, you will play a vital role in helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally. We are looking for someone who is reliable, resilient, and has a great sense of humour, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with pupils who require patience, understanding, and encouragement. Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Support children with complex needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings. Create a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive. Assist in implementing individualised learning plans tailored to each student’s needs. Use patience, resilience, and creativity to encourage positive engagement with learning. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student development. Help children develop independence and confidence, celebrating their progress and achievements. Adapt to the changing needs of pupils, using a calm and proactive approach. SEN Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements: A caring and kind personality with a genuine passion for working with children. Experience working with children with complex needs (preferred but not essential). A reliable and resilient nature, able to handle challenges with a positive attitude. A great sense of humour to help build relationships and create a fun learning environment. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with staff and families.
