We offer a tailored service, providing highly skilled mental health professionals to complement client's needs.
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking Senior Support Worker who has experience working with individuals with Personality Disorder & PTSD to work alongside our Management Team in leading a team of Support Workers. You will assist in the delivery of ongoing, high quality, recovery based support to adults with mental health support needs. You will need to be able to provide all round support at the individuals home join our team (day and night post available) on a Zero hour or Permanent contractual basis.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, well organised and able to deliver person centred support whilst offering a recovery based approach to all service users. You will have a professional manner with the ability to supervise and effectively guide a staff team, problem solve and work in partnership with service users & your Line Manager.
This role will be for a Team Leader / Senior Support Worker to work in the community, supporting a client with a bespoke package of care on a 2.1 basis that will be overseen by an RMN.
Successful applicant will:
* Manage / supervise support staff team.
* Complete Rotas
* Provide day to day support for a client in their home environment.
* Support client in all aspects of day to day life (cleaning, meaningful activities, mental health support).
* Encourage and promote independence.
* Monitor the client's mental health and physical health and report concerns to senior team members.
* Follow care plans and risk assessment.
* Support client into their local community and with local activities.
* Update care records and monitor clients overall wellbeing.
* Promote dignity at all times.
* Support with medication compliance.
* Support the RMN with crisis support for the client (where appropriate).
What do we need from you?
* Female staff members only
* At least 2 years' experience within mental health settings.
* Desired for staff members to have experience supporting a complex dual diagnosis namely, Eating Disorder and Personality disorder.
* Vast experience of supporting clients in the following areas: in a supported accommodation/home environment that present with complex mental health and physical health needs.
* An understanding of the MHA and legal frameworks.
* Experience of working with multi-agencies.
* Experience of working with clients with a personality disorder.
* Willing to undertake company training specific for this client.
* The ability to document to high standards.
* Be resilient and proactive.
* Have the ability to empower the service user.
* Kind, caring and compassionate.
