Resourcing and People Services Manager Full time, permanent 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Salary - LLT Management Scale 10-11 £41,258 to £42,224 FTE (dependent on experience) Base: This is a Trust role which requires the post holder to work at both Colleges. The successful candidate can be based at either Richard Taunton College (Southampton) or St Vincent College (Gosport). This will be further discussed on appointment. The Lighthouse Learning Trust has an exciting new opportunity for you to join our growing HR and Payroll team. We are seeking to appoint a professional and experienced HR generalist to this important new role. As a Trust we are halfway through our five-year strategy timeline, and with excellent progress being made, our objective to deliver excellent service from our central teams is our focus. At the heart of this development is our People function including HR operations and Learning and Development for our workforce. We have set an ambitious plan and are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our HR Operations department for the Trust supporting both Richard Taunton Sixth Form in Southampton and St Vincent College in Gosport. Our staff are critical to the success of our colleges, and as we do for our students, we want to ensure this role will have the freedom to shape the HR staff services for the Trust, keeping our workforce front and centre. This role will need someone with a positive and forward-looking ethos, understand the importance of a growth culture and professional standards, being able to always promote the Trust values. You will work with HR colleagues to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient operational HR service across the Trust. You will provide professional and responsive HR advice and support on the full range of employment matters including employee performance, conduct (including safeguarding matters), attendance and organisational change. In conjunction with senior leaders, you will ensure that our Academies are able to recruit and retain high quality staff who are inducted effectively into the Trust. You will also work closely with the Group Director of People to ensure the delivery of the Trust’s strategic HR priorities, including Trust growth and development, employee wellbeing and statutory compliance. This is a varied and rewarding role, where no two days are the same. To succeed you will have recent extensive experience working in a senior HR advisory role. You will have attained a minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification and have an excellent knowledge of employment law and recommended practice. You will have effective communication skills, the ability to plan and organise time and priorities and show resilience under pressure.
