Could you support a woman in her late eighties with learning disabilities to get the most out of later life?
Female Staff Only – This post fulfils the requirements of a Genuine Occupational Qualification and is therefore exempt under the Equality and Diversity Act 2010.
We are seeking one or two female Support Workers to support this lady in her own home in the Cadbury Heath area of South Gloucestershire.
Working 1:1 with this lady, you will offer companionship and support with all areas of her life, following her person-centred plan, helping her to achieve her goals in a way that makes sense to her. This includes her chosen activities, daily living skills and managing her home and tenancy, looking after her finances, as well as support around feeding and personal care.
She is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, kind, caring, flexible to meet her needs, adaptable to change and who likes to spend time doing activities both inside and outside the home.
The hours are 18.5 per week on average, worked flexibly over the course of 4 weeks on 3 Sundays, 1 Saturday and 1 Thursday.
