Our client is a leading name in the construction and housing industry, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Site Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Site Manager in the successful delivery of residential construction projects.
Responsibilities:
* Site Operations Support: Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and according to schedule.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce health and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and ensuring all workers adhere to safety regulations.
* Team Coordination: Collaborate with various contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure seamless coordination of activities and effective communication across the team.
* Quality Control: Assist in maintaining high-quality construction standards by conducting inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
* Documentation and Reporting: Support in maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and other necessary paperwork.
* Problem-solving: Work with the Site Manager to identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the construction process.
* Client Interaction: Engage with clients and stakeholders as needed, providing updates and addressing concerns professionally.
* Schedule Management: Contribute to the management of project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and addressing any delays.
* Cost Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project costs and resources to ensure effective budget management.
* Supervision in the Site Manager's Absence: Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Site Manager, guiding the team and making decisions to keep the project on track.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a construction-related role, preferably as a Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction best practices.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
* Relevant construction qualifications or certifications.
* Valid driving license.
