Job overview
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with an interest in Technical Services.
The successful applicant will work as part of a cohesive team, operating within a licensed Aseptic unit offering a high quality service to both internal and external customers.
The suitable applicant should be highly motivated and have excellent attention to detail. They should be organised and able to prioritise work effectively, showing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Main duties of the job
You will be involved with the final checking of aseptically prepared items made under the Manufacturer's Specials Licence, so this is a great opportunity to further develop your aseptic knowledge and skills.
You will also be involved in organising and implementing the training of new and existing staff and therefore great enthusiasm towards inspiring others is essential.
You will support the management, development and delivery of the aseptic service, including the day-to-day running of the service and workflow, accurate management of stock and aseptic related training of Pharmacy Technicians and support staff, ensuring standardisation of practice and learning.

Minimum Requirements
* Registered Pharmacy Technician, or due to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC by May 2025
Knowledge
* Current knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice, including dispensing and aseptic services
Experience
* Demonstrable experience of working in a hospital pharmacy, including aseptics
* Experience of supervising staff and carrying out appraisals
Skills and Ability
* Able to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and electronically within the pharmacy team
* Can demonstrate prioritisation in a work-based setting
* Can plan, organise and deliver training sessions either one to one or in small groups of staff
Behaviours
* Has a positive approach and is able to include and motivate others
* Acts as a role model to pharmacy technicians and support staff
