Job Description Job title: Operations Manager Job Type: Full-time, Permanent - Monday to Friday Location: Watford, Hertfordshire Company Overview: A leading Hertfordshire-based trade supplier of fenestration products to the residential and commercial sectors across the Midlands and South East, operating from two manufacturing bases. With nearly 40 years of experience, the company has evolved into one of the leading aluminium window and door fabricators, supplying bespoke products to installers, residential clients, and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities: • Administration / Operational Lead: Oversee daily administrative and operational functions to ensure smooth business operations. • Order Scheduling: Manage and prioritise the workflow of quotes and orders to meet client deadlines. • Material Scheduling & Capacity Planning: Coordinate material orders and plan production capacity to optimise efficiency. • Stock Management: Conduct monthly stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records. • Manufacturing Oversight: Ensure efficient planning and execution of production workflows. Key Tasks: • Maintain order trackers to monitor progress and address any issues promptly. • Support the estimating team as needed for both trade and project inquiries. • Assist with processing tasks when required to ensure timely delivery of products. • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in production planning. Our Ideal Candidate: • Strong organisational and management skills; experience in fenestration is an advantage but not essential. • Familiarity with industry software packages (e.g., Logikal, Evolution) is beneficial. • Understanding of Profit & Loss statements. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Hardworking and ambitious, with a desire for personal development. • Proficient in numeracy and possesses good English language skills.
