Working closely with Product Management and Design team, it will be your responsibility to research priority market investigations outlined in the new product development path and manage individual design projects from investigation to production. Responsibilities: Managing your key projects through the complete product lifecycle, building, diversifying, and phasing out product lines where necessary. Working with key internal stakeholders (sales, R&D, operations, quality & finance) to enable efficient, error-free, new product implementation across the business, therefore maximizing profits. Interacting with project planning systems, ensuring a seamless new product development process for your projects. Managing product data entry and collaborating with other departments and their systems, leveraging data and insights to drive business decisions. Getting out into the market, identifying pain points for your key projects, as well as the value can bring to the customer. Networking with key external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, industry bodies etc.) to bring insight and value to product developments as well as identify potential target customers. Creating design briefs, business cases, pricing proposals and commercial launch plans to suit, so that the product can be developed or improved to meet more market requirements. Acting as the voice of the customer within the business both commercially and technically, engaging with, interpreting, and understanding customer needs, particularly throughout new product development process. Working closely with designers to agree priorities, course corrections and drive progress. Technical support of products pre and post-launch, arranging post-launch reviews at 6, 12, and 24-month periods as required. Identify and manage risks associated with product development and implementation. Provide internal training on the product and offer support to sales teams and customers. Core Competencies Experience in managing the development of manufactured non-FMCG products would be advantageous. Successful candidates will possess strong planning and organisational skills, with an aptitude for analysing data and an ability to work under pressure as well as to deadlines. Be proactive, capable and an experienced networker and communicator, both internally and externally. Experience or proven understanding of working and strategizing within a marketing based business model. You will be expected to travel x2 per month on average.
