Main responsibilities: To be the named person responsible for the introduction, maintenance and monitoring of the use of simulation in obstetrics in the Thames Valley. To attend meetings at the RCOG in relation to simulation training in obstetrics. To have an overview of all types of simulation, including high and low-fidelity models and simulation in all aspects of obstetrics, including (but not exclusively) obstetric emergencies, practical obstetrics and obstetric ultrasound. To work with all Trusts and College Tutors within the HEE Thames Valley region to develop simulation in obstetrics. To map the requirements of trainees for simulation training with the RCOG curriculum and Training Matrix and be responsible for delivering this training. To work with the Gynaecology Simulation Lead and oversee the development and training of a faculty of educators in the field of simulation, including development of trainees.
