About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology to teach core and optional modules on the MSc in Bioarchaeological and Forensic Anthropology.
This is a full-time post at hours per week including all course preparation, teaching, support, marking, and other duties.
The post is funded from 15th September until 14th September, providing cover for Dr Katie Hemer for the period when she will be on research leave as a British Academy Mid-Career Fellow. About you
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Bioarchaeology, Palaeopathology, Biological Anthropology, Forensic Anthropology, or Dental Anthropology. Candidates must have exceptional knowledge of, and the capacity to teach classes in human skeletal anatomy, palaeopathology, and dental anthropology, whilst a deep understanding of the ethics surrounding the teaching and research of human remains is essential. Further specialisation in one or more of the following areas would be desirable: proteomics; histology; aDNA/DNA; or stable isotope analysis. The post-holder will also ideally have field experience.
