Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Wills and Probate Solicitor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in wills, probate, and trust law, and will be comfortable drafting both straightforward and complex wills and trusts for high-net-worth individuals. You will also be responsible for managing a full range of probate matters. This is a flexible role with the option for hybrid working, and they are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, as well as contractor or employee arrangements. Responsibilities include: Draft straightforward and complex wills and trusts, tailored to the specific needs of clients, particularly high-net-worth individuals. Provide expert legal advice on estate planning, including inheritance tax, trusts, and asset protection strategies. Manage all aspects of probate matters, including applications for grants of probate, administering estates, and resolving disputes. Advise clients on matters relating to powers of attorney, estate administration, and the creation of trusts. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that their wishes are reflected in the drafting of wills and trusts. Handle the distribution of assets in accordance with the terms of wills and trusts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Provide guidance to clients regarding the tax implications of estate planning and probate. Liaise with third parties, including executors, trustees, and financial advisors, to ensure smooth estate administration. Keep up-to-date with changes in wills, probate, and trust law and best practices. Provide excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships with clients. Key Skills: Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in wills, probate, and trust law. Strong experience in drafting complex wills and trusts, particularly for high-net-worth individuals. In-depth knowledge of probate law, including estate administration, inheritance tax, and related legal matters. Excellent client care skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and approachable manner. Ability to manage a caseload autonomously and efficiently. High attention to detail and accuracy in all legal documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being able to work independently. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of clients and the practice.
