2. You'll develop personalised support plans with residents, focusing on maintaining their independence while preventing escalating needs.
3. You'll create a vibrant community by arranging social activities and events that keep residents connected and engaged.
4. You'll coordinate support alongside B&NES Council's care staff, helping residents make the most of their community and its shared facilities.
5. You'll be the go-to person for housing matters, conducting regular safety checks, managing on-site facilities, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
What you'll get in return
Beyond a salary of £12,063 and the chance to make a real difference every day, you’ll get:
1. 26 days annual leave per year pro rata (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years.
2. Your birthday off as an extra holiday.
3. Up to 10% matched pension contribution.
4. Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan.
5. Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing.
More about you
You're a people person with genuine compassion for older adults and a commitment to helping them live independently. You have experience working one-to-one with customers to develop support plans and understand the unique balance between providing support while promoting independence.
You're highly organised, with excellent record-keeping skills and the ability to maintain accurate information systems. You're comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office, iPads, and mobile working tools.
You have experience working in a customer-focused environment, whether in supported housing, social care, or a community setting. You excel at networking and building relationships with various agencies, including the on-site care staff, to ensure coordinated support for residents.
You're skilled at arranging engaging community activities and events that help residents connect with each other and maintain active social lives. You communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing, and remain positive, flexible, and consistent.
A full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is essential for this role, as you may need to travel between locations and occasionally transport residents to appointments.
Most importantly, you're passionate about creating a vibrant, supportive community within our Extra Care scheme, helping residents maintain their independence with dignity while ensuring they receive the support they need.
