Pay Details: Grade 4, SCP 5 - 7, £24,790 - £25,584 (Pro Rata), £12.85 - £13.26 (Hourly Rate)
Working Pattern: 37 Hours Per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

Duties:
1. To drive the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s liveried Camera Enforcement Vehicle along pre-defined patrol routes; thus capturing civil parking contraventions via the vehicle’s on-board ANPR cameras.
2. To drive to and conduct stationary and attended enforcement of certain civil parking enforcement restrictions and of byelaw and Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) criminal offences using the vehicle’s on-board CCTV camera.
3. To boot-up the on-board computer and be responsible for ensuring the Camera Enforcement Vehicle’s on-board systems are fully operational before driving off.
4. To undertake such patrols on a pre-defined route agreed with the Enforcement Supervisor.
5. To undertake patrols using the Camera Enforcement Vehicle in pre-planned operations that fall outside of normal working hours (e.g., Operation Elstree).
6. To upload captured evidence appropriately using the on-board hardware and software.
7. To provide feedback on any software anomalies.
8. Report any other issues that are relevant to the Enforcement Service, such as fly-tipping, etc.
9. Pay due attention to the highway code and plan a safe route.
10. Ensure that the Camera Enforcement Vehicle is kept clean and in a serviceable condition by carrying out daily checks before driving vehicles. Report/feedback promptly to line manager any defects or faults identified.
11. Communicate clearly with members of the general public, in a courteous, polite and helpful manner.
12. Notify line manager of incidents and/or accidents affecting passenger or driver safety whilst on duty.
13. Refuel vehicles appropriately from the designated fuel provider and/or facility when required.
14. Accurately record daily information and personal timesheets, as required.
15. Undertake training and actively participate in training in support of the Enforcement Service and its statutory functions.
16. To undertake relevant training courses and assessments.
17. Ensure compliance with the Council’s Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures.
18. To implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties.
19. To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.
20. To implement the principles of the Council's Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.
21. To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
22. Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the managers from time to time.
