Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing organisation within financial services, is seeking a talented IT Systems Administrator to support and enhance their IT operations. Required Skills & Experience
* Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience: 3+ years in an IT Systems Administrator role.
* Technical Expertise:
o Proficiency in Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Google Workspace.
o Linux/Unix administration experience.
o Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
o Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V).
o Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Soft Skills:
o Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Bonus: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
* Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers.
* Oversee user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
* Implement system backups and disaster recovery plans.
* Ensure system security with regular updates, patches, and audits.
Network Management
* Maintain and optimize network devices, including firewalls, routers, and switches (Fortinet experience is a plus).
* Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
* Implement security measures to protect the network.
End-User Support
* Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and network issues.
* Install and configure workstations and peripherals.
* Resolve technical issues efficiently and document solutions.
IT Documentation & Innovation
* Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems and procedures.
* Create and update a knowledge base for common technical issues.
* Research and recommend new technologies and solutions.
* Participate in IT projects and stay updated on industry best practices.
