Purpose of role: This role provides an exceptional customer service and maintains the highest standards of presentation and food hygiene.
Main Accountabilities
* Offer an engaging and friendly welcome to visitors;
* Contribute to ensuring facilities are an inviting and safe place for our visitors including, litter picking, checking toilets and emptying bins;
* Process transactions on the tills in an efficient and professional manner adhering to CE procedures at all times;
* Ensure the shop floor is fully stocked throughout the day and that stock is rotated, labelled correctly and wastage minimised;
* Ensure all merchandise is correctly and uniformly priced;
* Maintain stock knowledge to offer advice to customers and maximise sales opportunities;
* Respond to and deal with customer complaints;
* Conduct all duties in a professional and safe manner with due reference to relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work. Ensure all health and safety checklists are completed in line with CE policies and procedures;
* Help to ensure safe and calm evacuation in an emergency;
* Administer first aid;
* Contribute to improvements in customer service and the operation in general;
* Ensure adherence to Crown Estate policies and procedures, including cash handling, uniform, lost property etc.
* Undertake any other duties necessary to ensure delivery of customer service across Windsor Farm Shop operations.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
* Experience of working in a busy, front line customer service environment;
* A proven track record in an environment where the customer comes first is essential;
* Proven experience of dealing with the public positively to resolve concerns;
* Able to demonstrate a strong customer service ethos;
* A good communicator, confident, friendly, approachable with the ability to engage with a wide variety of people;
* Calm and assertive;
* Be willing to have a flexible and versatile approach to provide support wherever and whenever needed;
* Demonstrable skills in delivering a high-quality product;
* Ability to work on own initiative;
* Ability to effectively problem solve;
* Team player;
* Organised with meticulous attention to detail;
* Hold and maintain basic and intermediate food and hygiene certificates;
* Basic IT skills.
