As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that encourages students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals, you'll help students achieve their potential by delivering personalised lesson plans and providing individualised support based on their unique needs. As a Teacher of Special Needs, your responsibilities will be: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN. Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skills in a safe, inclusive classroom. Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support. Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary. Provide guidance and support to students with challenging behaviours or additional learning needs. Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues. Contribute to the school’s overall ethos and work closely with the team to ensure high standards of education. Requirements for SEN Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience working with students who have special educational needs as a SEN Teacher. Strong understanding of various SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. A degree in Psychology, Education or in a similar field. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
