We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Export and Logistics Manager to lead the Logistics department in the Clinical Trials Division at Woodley. As the Manager of the Logistics department, you will be at the heart of their global presence, setting up new logistics hubs and ensuring smooth operations in compliance with local legislation. Your close collaboration with the Senior Management Team will shape the future of their division, helping them seize new opportunities and forge strategic partnerships.
What does an Export and Logistics Manager Do?
Drive Global Operations: Oversee and manage inbound shipments globally, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. You will be the expert in customs documentation and a key player in achieving on-time delivery targets.
Strategic Leadership: Lead and train your team, providing continuous support and fostering a high-performance culture. Your analytical skills will be crucial in creating and maintaining KPIs, optimizing costs, and improving efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance: Be the key contact for governmental and regulatory compliance, ensuring Woodley meets all international trade requirements. You will maintain a robust database of equipment requirements and support the development of their ISO quality assurance program.
Innovate and Optimise: Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans. Your expertise will help Woodley streamline processes, optimize ERP database usage, and enhance transportation routes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily logistics operations, tracking shipments, and providing regular updates
* Support account managers with costing, quotes, and joining customer calls as an SME
* Ensure data accuracy in import duty and VAT submissions
* Create and maintain monthly KPIs, analysing logistic invoicing variances
* Achieve all relevant KPIs and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
* Assist with product selection and pricing to improve transportation routes
* Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans
Key Skills
* Expertise in import and export regulations for international shipping
* Problem-solving abilities, working to tight deadlines, and prioritizing by risk
* Organized, logical, and adaptable to changing policies and procedures
* Knowledge of MDR, IVDR, and various countries' logistic requirements
* International Medical Device logistics experience preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and software systems
