About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to manage, develop and coordinate placement activity to facilitate the delivery of the School’s Professional Programmes. You will support the professional programmes and staff tutors in managing the development and maintenance of student practice placements in line with the requirements of their professional body.
You will ensure that efficient systems, processes, and procedures are in place to develop and support practice based learning experiences for students. Working with colleagues from across the University, you will be responsible for administrative processes, data entry, validation and maintenance related to the practice-based learning experience of students. You will be a point of contact for prospective students, current students and their employers or sponsors and the wider team relating to practice-based learning experience.
You will have strongly developed technological, administrative, and organisational skills, with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and demonstrable experience relevant to the role. You will be highly motivated, able to demonstrate flexibility, excellent communication, team working and a commitment to collaborative working across organisational boundaries. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* To address non-academic (i.e., not directly pertaining to teaching and learning) service requests in respect of all professional practice programmes (PPPs) within the individual’s agreed remit.
* To manage and provide support with enquiries related to Practice Learning.
* To support the provision and management of electronic student portfolios, as relevant.
* To maintain a robust knowledge of the requirements of PPPs within the individual’s agreed remit, using a variety of information technology hardware and software to support management and compliance with all such requirements.
* To contribute to the effective management of the PPPs within the individual’s agreed remit, showing initiative regarding the provision of support, advice and guidance to students, sponsoring agencies, other academic institutions, and employers regarding these programmes.
* To undertake any other non-academic PPP duties within the University as required.

Job share and flexible working patterns will be considered. It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We’d expect this to be approximately once per quarter.
