Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Arrabawn Co-op's Ingredients Manufacturing Division wishes to invite applications for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. The individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Maintenance/Engineering Department and contractors to optimize the performance of the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Support all operations and maintenance requirements across the site and ensure continuation of process improvements.
2. Execution of maintenance procedures in line with site SOP's.
3. Attend to breakdowns and raise corrective maintenance tasks as appropriate for follow-up works required.
4. Support and assist with the Operations and Maintenance Utilities Systems.
5. Engage actively in innovation and continuous improvement, taking ownership in highlighting areas where improvements are possible or opportunities exist.
6. Manage vendors on site for the services delivered and areas owned under the Facilities Services contract.
7. Handle permitting, method statements, risk assessments, and scheduling vendor visits to site.
8. Perform day-to-day preventative maintenance of all plants, machinery, and equipment while maintaining the site's CMMS system.
9. Complete all documentation related to maintenance procedures on site.
10. Maintain all Company assets in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
11. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical processes and installations, including fire alarm and ATEX system management.
12. Manage site calibrations and all requirements for audit certification.
13. Strictly adhere to all site safety policies.
14. Complete all work according to site quality standards and GMP, including documentation and housekeeping.
Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess the following:
1. A proven track record of managing a maintenance/engineering function.
2. A third-level engineering degree in process, mechanical, electrical, or a similar discipline.
3. Strong people management, problem-solving, planning, organizing, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to achieve results through people.
5. IT literate.
6. Fluency in English, written and oral.
7. Food industry experience and knowledge of manufacturing in the dairy industry would be a distinct advantage.
8. Proven experience of a minimum of 3 to 4 years.
Desirable Experience
1. Preventative Maintenance.
2. Utilities knowledge and experience.
3. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
