Job summary Following additional investment, we are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our Medicine for Older People based at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The post holder will provide a clinical and leadership role in the assessment, treatment and management of older people in addition to contributing to the overall proactive and preventative agenda. The successful candidate will work within our forward thinking and expert multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care and will be expected to constantly seek to improve and develop the service. The appointee will be expected to bring innovation and vision, to further develop a service fit for the future needs of our local population whilst ensuring that current service provision continues to be high-value and delivered to the highest standard. Frequent review of the service is anticipated to ensure that Trust and departmental strategic priorities are being met. The development of relevant research interests will be encouraged, and opportunities will be enhanced alongside areas of specialist interest. Main duties of the job Provide cover to our elderly care inpatient wards. Assist with the running of community clinics and day-units. Maintenance of the highest clinical standards. Teaching and training of junior staff and allied medical/ nursing staff. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical governance and audit.
