About the Role:
As Compliance Manager, you’ll be the compliance lead for our London Market division, ensuring that our operations align with FCA and Lloyd’s regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business supported by private equity, where you’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure compliance frameworks support both regulatory requirements and the strategic growth of the division.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and manage compliance with FCA and Lloyd’s regulations, ensuring adherence to all relevant requirements.
* Policy Development: Design, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls specific to the London Market division.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate compliance risks, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure effective controls.
* Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to embed a culture of regulatory excellence across the division.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key compliance contact for Lloyd’s, brokers, and underwriters, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
* Audit & Reporting: Lead internal compliance audits, support external regulatory reviews, and produce timely compliance reports for senior management and the board.
* Regulatory Advice: Provide expert guidance to underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders on compliance matters related to the London Market.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Proven experience in a compliance role within the London Market insurance sector.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of FCA, Lloyd’s, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to the London Market.
* Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage compliance functions autonomously while influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
* Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying compliance challenges and delivering practical, business-aligned solutions.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory requirements clearly.
* Qualifications: Compliance certifications (e.g., ICA) or legal qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
