We are looking for a Head of Communications for a countryside community charity that stretches across England and Wales.
The ideal person is an established communications leader, accustomed to reporting directly into the CEO. The leadership element is key for success in this role, not only in terms of writing, implementing and delivering the full communications programme, but also leading and supporting a high performing team and agencies. Charity expertise is highly desirable; we are also considering applicants from an agency background who are able to demonstrate an understanding of and passion for the charity sector.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will provide the strategic and operational leadership to write, implement and deliver a media and marketing engagement growth strategy. As a primary spokesperson and ambassador, you will manage and develop our reputation through high quality internal and external engagement.
With overall responsibility for the delivery of PR, marketing and digital communications, you will also lead on the production of effective traditional and digital media to create opportunities to engage with wide ranging stakeholder groups, including with Parliament.
Love of the English countryside and the agricultural world will also need to be in your DNA as this charity provides very important guidance and support to communities that are facing increasingly complex challenges in the world as we know it.
Salary £65k - we are also very interested in speaking to senior candidates who would be open to £65k as the pro rata salary for a 4 day week.
