Salary: Circa £39,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The Manufacturing Engineering organisation is responsible for the day-to-day support of the product assembly and testing of weapons and equipment within the manufacturing facility at Bolton, Stevenage and Henlow. An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Administrator to join the Manufacturing Digital Systems team within the Engineering function, providing day-to-day support to Manufacturing.
You will help support the vitally important Digital toolsets within our UK Manufacturing business including; MBDAs MES solution, SAP tool and Digital Industrialisation Platform (DIP) solution (a new Work Instruction authoring tool for the Engineering function). The upcoming Digital Industrialisation Platform (DIP) tool is fundamental in preparing products for Manufacture before appropriate materials purchased and schedules to manufacture generated in MBDAs SAP ERP solution.
The MES tool remains at the core of our manufacturing business and allows us to manufacture our products to the high standards that our customers demand. This role supports all of our UK manufacturing sites and as such will require an element of travel within the UK.
Responsibilities will include the following:
* Be the day-to-day contact for all MES, SAP (where applicable) and DIP support queries
* Own and manage all incident tickets & fault queries in line with existing processes
* Collate all incident tickets and work with our service provider(s) to resolve them
* Triage all system related issues received by email, skype, telephone or in person with a view to timely resolve in-house or escalate to the service provider(s)
* Describe through documentation and handover all recurring incidents so they can be addressed through the problem management process
* Ensure all change requests are documented so they can be added to future improvement activities
* Work with the business areas to prioritise the incidents
* Support the Digital Systems Team to progress future evolutions from a Development environment into a Production environment
* Effectively communicate digital system changes across Manufacturing, producing appropriate material where applicable
* Collaborate with cross-functional managers to support Training & Process improvements
What we're looking for from you:
* IT Experience in a Digital world
* Basic Knowledge / experience of Manufacturing Engineering and execution principles
* A general appreciation of Operations, Logistics and Engineering activities, ideally with a background in logistics or Engineering
* Basic appreciation of MES, PLM and/or ERP solutions
* Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised for extended periods
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* ONC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Good understanding of configuration control (hardware, software & documentation)
* Supportive, helpful approach and a calm professional manner, even when under pressure or requirements are changed at the last minute
