Main Purpose of the Post: Preaching, Teaching and Pastoral work of the Minister of Religion.
Job description
Primary function —To Assist the senior pastor to lead the church to grow larger by providing kingdom leadership training.
General function —To work with and under the direction of the senior pastor as a member of the pastoral team to enable the church to focus on the Great Commission and to equip the church to carry out the five functions of the New Testament church: evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading.
- To Assist the senior pastor to lead members of the church to a deeper commitment of personal evangelism; officiating Holy communion service, Christening, Baptism for new converts.
- To give oversight and direction to the ministries of the church, including but not limited to: The Sunday School Outreach Special Evangelism Events Missions Ministering.
- To preach and teach the Bible, believing that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter.
- To work with the senior pastor in communicating the priority of evangelism as a part of the vision for ministry that God gives to this congregation.
EXPECTATIONS
- The Applicant is expected to be a servant, leader and have Pentecostal background.
- Able to comply with other responsibilities stated by church leadership within your scope
- Possess at least two or more of these spiritual gifts: servant-hood, teaching, exhortation (encouragement), leadership, faith, discernment, apostleship, administration, and evangelism.
- Willing to travel on mission within and outside the UK.
RELATIONSHIPS
- As a member of the pastoral team of this church, the Minister of religion is responsible to the senior pastor in all matters of church administration. In the absence of a senior pastor, the minister of Religion will be responsible to the interim team leader named during the time of transition.
- Must have the ability to listen to and communicate with people of all ages; a concern that others know Christ; the ability to work with church members, visitors, and unchurched people; and skills for organizing meetings and planning ceremonies

Successful applicant will also be required to undergo DBS Check for this post.
Period of work per week:
30 Hours per week,
4 days per week Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays essential work days.
