Trainee Dispenser Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Dispenser to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the pharmaceutical field. As a Trainee Dispenser, you will receive comprehensive training in medication administration and patient care, working under the supervision of experienced professionals. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently.
The position will involve 2 shifts per week, one on a weekday from 4pm to 9pm and one on a Saturday from 4pm to 9pm.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications as per prescription orders.
2. Provide excellent patient care by addressing queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
3. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
4. Support the pharmacy team in managing inventory, including stock rotation and ordering supplies.
5. Participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and patient care.
6. Uphold hygiene and safety standards within the pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
1. A keen interest in patient care and a desire to learn about medication administration.
2. Previous experience or training as a pharmacy technician is advantageous but not essential.
3. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage tasks effectively.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
5. A willingness to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
