Role Overview:
Based at ScottishPower HQ, Glasgow, you will undertake the technical delivery of projects, guiding and supporting the Control, Automation & Instrumentation Engineering team to ensure associated Consultancies, Service Providers, and Vendors provide design services in line with ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) specifications, rules, and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Deputising for the Lead Engineer as required.
- Assisting with resource management and effective deployment of Control, Automation & Instrumentation Engineering support.
- Supporting project delivery, design specification, and technical governance for large-scale projects.
- Providing generation and review of design proposals.
- Managing and supervising Consultants and Subcontractors.
- Working as part of the Onshore Projects & Construction Project Delivery Team, which may require site-based work during construction phases.
What you’ll bring:
- Educated to degree standard in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
- Experience in supporting development, construction, and operation phases of power generation projects.
- Good working knowledge of industry standards, design codes, and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of industrial communication standards, SCADA, and control systems.
- Health & Safety management skills (NEBOSH preferred).
