About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Male PE Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical education, a passion for sports and fitness, and the ability to engage students in a variety of physical activities. You will play a crucial role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness among students. Assistance with the completion of ECT may be available for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive physical education lessons that cater to students of various ages and abilities.
* Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a range of physical activities, including team sports, individual sports, fitness training, and health education.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages all students to participate and achieve their personal best.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their physical and personal development.
* Organise and supervise extracurricular sports programs, competitions, and events.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities and maintain equipment and facilities.
* Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in physical education and incorporate them into your teaching.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student growth and school initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or a related field.
* PGCE in Physical Education.
* Proven experience teaching physical education at the primary/secondary level.
* Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current in the field of physical education.
