Head of Organisational Development
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is one of the largest and busiest healthcare providers in Wales, advancing clinical excellence and driving forward an exciting programme of service redesign with a focus on population health across Gwent.
We are seeking a talented individual to join the Team and be at the forefront of the Organisational Development strategy for the Health Board. The successful post holder will provide senior level OD support across all strategic initiatives and will ensure the alignment of the Aneurin Bevan Health Board strategies and policies to support the long term strategy of the Health Board and its partners. This role acts as direct support to the Assistant Director of Workforce and Organisational Development (Dr Peter Brown) in the delivery of the Organisational Development.
The role involves leading and line-managing senior Organisational Development practitioners, working with senior clinicians and managers in the development and delivery of an Organisational Development Strategy to support the Health Board's strategic and operational plans. OD portfolio includes: Learning and Development, Talent and Succession planning, Developing and retaining people and teams, and also Future Talent Pipelines. The portfolio also includes responsibility for HCSW education and Occupational Health.

Education & Qualifications
* Educated to Masters level and/or have significant relevant experience in a similar senior role or context. Evidence of continual Professional Development.
Desirable
* Accredited coaching qualification
Accredited mediation qualification
Training and Experience
* In depth professional knowledge in staff management, organisational theory and practice. Ability to demonstrate significant experience in a senior management role. Experience of leading on policy and strategy development. Ability to demonstrate experience and delivery across a wide range of strategic Organisational Development management and practice and Human Resources practice. Experience of working at a corporate level within an organisation. Significant experience and understanding of Organisational Development and Human Resources practices. Experience of operating at senior management level including preparation and/or presentation of papers for Health Board. Experience of handling highly sensitive contentious and complex information. Experience of operating successfully within a large complex organisation. Knowledge of leading Organisational Development and Human Resources strategies. Proven experience of management and development of budgets.
