Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Graduate Process Improvement Engineer to join their Technical team. About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Process Improvement Engineer, your day to day will focus on driving efficient production against the specified KPI’s. This will involve a healthy balance between desk work (data analysis, root cause analysis, training, audits, writing reports, SOPs etc.) and providing leadership / driving change to the operators on the line.
Graduate Process Improvement Engineer – Summary of daily duties:
1. Daily monitoring of process and quality data
2. Drive TPM and NPD meetings
3. Conduct root cause analysis using lean six sigma principles
4. Ability to gather, analyse and interpret data
5. Conduct trials and provide direction with meaningful data
6. Write technical trial reports
7. Ability to learn and optimise equipment using data
8. Conduct mass balances and yield analysis
9. Seek out areas for process improvement/cost reduction
10. Establish and present the business case of proven performance losses
11. Conduct cost benefit analysis
12. Provide support/leadership on site projects
13. Provide leadership and support to team members and production teams
14. Review, update and write technical SOPs
15. Implement, embed and validate new practices and process changes
16. Conduct/support customer complaint investigations
17. Cooperate and promote culture change in H&S, environment and quality areas
Required skills, knowledge & experience:
We’re seeking a candidate with a degree in Engineering, with at least one year experience post-study, in a similar role within a production/manufacturing environment.
