The successful candidates will work alongside Senior Medical Secretaries and other Clinical Administrators, carrying out duties which will include, but are not limited to; data entry, making and receiving telephone calls, clinical and non-clinical audio typing and proof reading of VR generated letters, use of the hospital patient administration system, co-ordination of patient’s records/test results, co-ordination of outpatient clinics and diary management, amongst other secretarial and administrative duties.

The role provides direct secretarial and administrative support to consultants and/or specialist nurses; ensuring effective diary management and ensuring clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner. Processing of referrals is also a requirement of the role, ensuring any outpatient appointments are scheduled within national guidelines and as per clinical requirement. Management of patient tracking lists and accurate recording of RTT pathways will be required, amongst other necessary task such as attending MDT meetings and recording outcomes when asked.
There are several opportunities working across the Trust at the following sites Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital. Further information on the areas of work and the sites will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
The successful candidates will join the Clinical Board of Medicine and Emergency Care, which services include Immunology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Renal Services.

• Working within a team of administrative staff to provide a comprehensive support service to Consultants, Medical Staff and other clinical members of their team e.g. Specialist Nurses and Therapists
• Communicates with patients regarding appointments and admissions at the request of the medical team
• Provide cover for Team Leader within your administration team as required
• Cover Clinical Administrator posts Trust wide as required.
