About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Keynsham, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for psychology graduates, sports coaches, or individuals with experience working with children. While no previous classroom experience is necessary, a genuine interest in supporting the development of young learners is essential.
The ideal candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to support children in their learning journey, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering lessons and activities to children of various age groups
* Support children on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing tailored support where needed
* Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere
* Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and well-being
* Help with administrative tasks and classroom organisation
* Foster a safe, nurturing environment for all students
About You:
* Experience working with children in any setting (e.g., sports coaching, tutoring, childcare, voluntary work, etc.)
* A degree in psychology or related field is desirable, but not required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
