My client is looking for both a Buyer and Category Buyer to join them. The business has seen 20% growth YoY, consistently creating and developing product people love.

The role; Building excellent relationships with internal and external groups to deliver the best quality product. Ensuring that the food is the best in the market place whilst achieving financial value for the business.
* Manage the procurement of a group of product categories across all UK sites
* Ensure product is aligned to brand values and sourcing policy
* Build and manage category plans for each supply base being the go to subject expert, with knowledge of future market developments
* Manage internal communication in relation to changes in materials, major price movements, delivery lead times and individual supply issues
* Solve both tactical and strategic sourcing challenges
* Proactively manage supplier contracts, ensuring all agreements have appropriate contractual governance in place
Background, qualification and skills:
* Procurement experience within food (preferably manufacturing)
* Fresh category would be advantageous
* Negotiation at a senior level
* Stakeholder management
* Degree level education/CIPs (desired)
