Who are we looking for: A Managing Editor with working knowledge of the accountancy and surveying professions
What will you do:
Working closely with the project team, the Managing Editor is responsible for delivering digital and print programmes and for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, timely content for the email programmes.In collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief, the Managing Editor also ensures content across the entire project portfolio is high quality and timely. The Managing Editor leads the editorial staff and freelancers producing technical content and those subediting content across the portfolio.
•Develop and produce editorial content via the digital and print programmes
•Oversee the timely production of daily high-quality editorial digital content
•Uphold editorial standards and house style across the account
•Subs and proofreads where necessary
•Manage a team of in-house production staff and sub-editors, and a network of freelancers to produce print and digital content
•Support the Editor, in running daily content meetings and taking decisions on the organisation/prioritisation of content before submitting to the Editor
•Stay up to date with the platforms, production techniques and technologies required to complete the role
•Support the team with additional projects that require their expertise
What will you need:
•A working knowledge of the accountancy and surveying professions
•Deep experience developing and publishing editorial content in print and digitally
•Proven ability to lead multiple multi-channel editorial projects, ensuring objectives, goals, and commitments are met
