Integrated Education - Clinical Educator (Undergraduate)
Enhance the learning experience of students by facilitating high-quality practice learning in accordance with Quality Frameworks and standards, developing solutions to improve quality of placements.
Support diverse practice placements as part of the placement expansion and assist managers and assessors/supervisors for learners on undergraduate and other training programmes.
Facilitate Healthcare Support Worker development and career conversations, while providing support for those supervising and assessing learners.
Develop and deliver clinical teaching where appropriate, including Corporate/Clinical Induction, development programmes, and care certificate.
Provide advice and guidance with performance issues concerning learners with the support of the Undergraduate Educational Development Manager and Higher Education Institutes and Colleges.
Work with colleagues to provide pastoral care of students and learners, and support practice outcomes and relevant development.
Engage in partnership working between the Integrated Education Service, clinical areas, and education providers to enhance the clinical learning environment in accordance with HEE Quality Standards.
Enhance inter-professional working and learning to promote education across the organisation, and develop policies and strategies to support development.
Support recruitment and retention initiatives.
Main duties of the job
1. Work with the Undergraduate Educational Development Manager and team in supporting learners and support workers in the workplace, primarily supporting BSc Nursing, Nursing Associate, Associate Practitioner and T Level students, as well as Health Care Support Workers and Care Certificate learners.
2. Support managers to enhance the quality of the practice learning environment, providing support, educational input, and development for undergraduate learners while acting as a role model in clinical practice.
3. Utilize initiative, analytical skills, and judgement, and work autonomously with all Integrated Education team members.
4. Be a committed member of the Undergraduate Clinical Education team, contributing as a proactive team member in the wider Integrated Education team to promote inter-educational learning.
5. Collaborate with colleagues, practice placements, clinical staff, and education providers to promote high-quality clinical practice through continuous professional development, clinical teaching, supervision, and assessment; and implement and evaluate robust educational governance processes in accordance with national standards.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* First level Registered Nurse with Current NMC registration.
* Supporting Learners in Practice/Mentorship preparation Module/ENB 998 or equivalent.
* Educated to BSc level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
* Evidence of continued professional development to post-graduate diploma level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
* Practice Teacher module.
* BSc (Hons) Degree.
Experience
* At least 3 years current experience at Band 5/6 in a clinical setting.
* Recent experience of working with learners in an acute or community care setting.
* Experience in clinical education.
* At least 2 years' experience of working as a Mentor/Practice Assessor/Supervisor.
* Evidence of continued professional development within the last 12 months.
* Understanding of the T Level programme.
* Understanding and experience of Care Certificate standards.
* Experience of teaching/presenting in a formal setting.
* Coaching skills.
* Experience of supporting staff through Care Certificate.
