Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer for our clients in Birmingham. The main purpose of this role is to provide supporting activities and initiatives in compliance to the company’s HSE internal and external commitments. Prior experience working within a Health and Safety position is essential.
Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Officer:
Ensure that safety protocols are followed
Conduct risk assessments and audits
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Monitor and inspect work areas for safety compliance, while maintaining records of all inspections, audits and training sessions

Details of Health and Safety Officer:
£30,000 - £45,000 PA (Dependant on Experience and Qualification)
Monday to Friday
9:00AM - 18:00PM
Requirements of a Health and Safety Officer:
NEBOSH
Understanding of HSE Legal requirements and regulations
Experienced in carrying out HSE Audits, Risk assessment and problem solving skills
Annual Assessment all HSE related compliance with ILO’s guidelines and IMS Standards
Policies development and implementation
Dealing with Regulatory authorities.
