About Repton School
Repton is the ancient capital of Mercia, founded in 1557 from a bequest by Sir John Port of Etwall. The school is located on the site of a 7th-century Anglo-Saxon Benedictine abbey and a 12th-century Augustinian priory, with many original buildings remaining.
The School has over a thousand pupils across the Prep and Senior School, fostering excellence both academically and in extracurricular activities. Repton and Repton Prep became a through-school in 2020.
At Repton Senior, students are members of a House, with high academic standards and thriving creative activities like music, art, drama, and design. The school has a strong reputation in sports such as football, hockey, cricket, and swimming. Students develop skills, qualities, and values for a successful life.
Repton was among the first British schools to establish overseas campuses, including Repton School Dubai (2007), with plans to expand further in the Middle East, China, and Egypt. The UK includes Repton, Repton Prep, St Wystan’s, Vinehall, and Marlborough House, with ambitions to grow its UK network.
